The Clydeside Distillery is a modern Glasgow landmark that brings together the city’s maritime heritage and the Morrison family’s long-standing whisky legacy. Established in 2017 inside the restored Queen’s Dock Pumphouse, the distillery stands on the historic site where Scotch whisky once departed for markets around the world.
Founded by Tim Morrison, whose family has shaped the Scotch industry for generations, The Clydeside represents a return to Glasgow’s whisky roots. The location carries deep family significance: Tim’s great‑grandfather, John Morrison, built the original dock in the 1860s, making the distillery both a revival of history and a continuation of a legacy.
The Clydeside crafts a refined Lowland single malt using traditional methods, soft Loch Katrine water, and hand‑built copper stills designed for a clean, fruit‑forward spirit. Its signature release, Stobcross, highlights bright citrus, orchard fruit, and an elegant, modern Lowland character.
Today, The Clydeside Distillery is a key whisky destination on the River Clyde—combining craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary Glasgow energy to present a new generation of single malt to the world.
